Since the beginning of Term 1 Math Teacher Harry Miyagi has had students learning Japanese, Web Design and Computer Repair in his classroom during lunch. David Schlenker and Ethan Edwards have been learning Japanese. They can read hiragana and katakana. Basic manga and are working on learning Kanji. Giovanni Gonzalez has been learning Web Design. He has learned Adobe Photoshop and started learning Adobe Dreamweaver. He has done some excellent work with Photoshop layering and editing photos. Landmark works to instill 5 Vital Behaviors that will keep our students on the pathway to success, no matter what they choose to do with their lives. To promote these behaviors, we award Student of the Month accolades to 5 students who have excelled at one or more of these behaviors.

Once again Landmark Dragons are busier than ever. Poinsettias are on schedule finishing touches are made. Now we just watch them grow.
A new project started 1st week of September with lessons on floral arranging, succulent gardening and propagating. Each student learned all about succulents, water, light and fertilizing and how to propagate them from stem cuttings, leaf cuttings or root division.
Only the 2nd day of school and the Landmark Dragons are busier than ever planting and harvesting their gardens. Poinsettias are planted and rulers are in place to track their growth; enabling the students to monitor their height and lateral branching. An important step now is monitoring insect control. Placing yellow sticky cards catches small insects, revealing the species of insects and quantity of infestation.
