The University of Utah Office of Admissions and The Center for Equity and Student Belonging
has invited your student to attend the Annual Black and African Diaspora High School
Conference
. It will be held at the University of Utah on Thursday, February 1st, 2024. The
conference will allow your student to explore the University of Utah and its options for
educational resources and opportunities. We would like the opportunity to work with your child
in order to build positive relationships that will encourage them to consider higher education as a
means of further empowering themselves and their communities.
The conference will focus on cultural awareness, self-pride, education, leadership, and the
importance of obtaining a college degree; as well as awareness of connecting students to
different student support programs. University of Utah students, faculty, staff, and professionals
from our community will facilitate all of the workshops.
The conference will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. under the supervision of University
students, faculty, and staff. Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge. Students can
register for the high school conference at: https://futureu.admissions.utah.edu/register/ITSA
We look forward to having your student attend our conference.
Sincerely,
Office of Admissions
