Steven-Henager College Presents to Landmark Students

Submitted by brian.davenport on

The Student of Landmark High School, in Spanish Fork had the opportunity to have Jorge Aguero from Stevens-Henager College come and present information to Financial Literacy Classes about scholarships and college.  Jorge taught the students that there is over 30 million dollars of scholarship money that does unclaimed every year.  This means that there is a great opportunity for students to get a scholarship.  Jorge also taught the students that there are a wide variety of scholarships available to students, such as being left handed, being Latino, being creative with duct tape, these are just a few that are out there.

Jorge also took time to help students understand the difference between a J.O.B. (just over broke) versus a careers and what you can do with a career.  You can potentially make more money if you graduate from college with the right degree.  College is a grate opportunity to invest in your self, and make your future better.
