The faculty and staff of Landmark High School, in Spanish Fork, held what is to become an annual event of Thanksgiving Dinner family style.  The faculty and staff setup tables and decorated them.  “I went into the lunchroom, and was not what I expected, the table were set with table cloths, and decorated really nice.  The treats that the teacher provided were excellent, and really a great unexpected treat,” said Senior Kiersten Fowers.  The meal consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, a gelatin salad, green beans, pumpkin pie, and rolls. Several of the foods classes prepared the gelatin salad, the mashed potatoes, and the stuffing.

The lunchroom was setup with round tables, with long banquet style tables that were used to serve the meal from.  The faculty and staff of LHS served the students while they came down the line to get their food.  Once all the students had their plates full, the faculty and staff joined the students at the round to eat their meal.  Many of the students commented that it was one of the coolest things that have happened all year long.  Junior Justin Jacobs stated, “It was an awesome experience to be part of the first annual thanksgiving dinner, I really appreciated the work that went into making this meal really great.”  Senior Jacob Haney stated, “It was really good the home cooked feel, it was like going into a four star restaurant and being serviced a home cooked meal.”

“I was touched, and felt loved, there was plenty of good food,” stated Senior Erica Cone.  “It was awesome to be able to see everyone together, no groups, and no clicks.  Everyone seemed to be enjoying each other and that is truly priceless,” stated Alesha LeMmon.
