Teaching in Cornerstone

Mark VanVoorhis retired from Landmark High School in July.

Mark’s Experience: Mark started teaching 15 years ago in August of 2005. He has taught in Adult Ed, Cornerstone, and this year at Landmark. He also spent some time at the Utah County Jail- teaching in the GED program.  He always wanted to teach but having a career working with at-risk students has been an exciting challenge for him.

Retirement  Plans: He has an insurance license for health and life. He plans to help people get insurance during his retired time. He would also like to do some traveling in his retirement years.

Advice for Students: Mark's favorite quote is, “gitter done.” The sooner you get started on something the sooner you can have it finished. If he could give any advice to students it is to finish what you've started.  His favorite part about teaching has always been the students. He loves to help students grow educationally as well as socially.

We will miss having you here at Landmark! Enjoy every moment of your retirement Mark!
