Linda Mortensen has just retired after working at Landmark High School for the past 8 years. She began her career with Nebo School District at the Learning Center in Springville where she spent 11 years. She loved working at Landmark because the staff is very friendly and she even loved getting to know the students. She thinks that the students are very fun to be around. She loves to stay busy. Linda said, "A good day at work is a day that I have a lot of work to do because it helps the time pass by." She worked hard to organize files, answer phones, and schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences. She also coordinated and administered different types of testing for people inside and outside of the school, including the typing tests whenever there is a secretary spot open in the district.

Originally from Wisconsin, Linda was born in 1951. She decided to come out to Utah to see what it was like and she really enjoys living in Utah. She considers it home and she doesn't think she is going to be moving anywhere anytime soon. As Linda retires, she looks forward to getting her house tidied and picking up old hobbies. She especially looks forward to playing in the orchestra and singing in the choir. She will enjoy using her spare time in retirement to spend time with her extended family.

We have loved having Linda at this school because she has a very sweet and calming personality and she definitely is a good addition to our school. The Landmark Family is very grateful to have had her as our secretary and she will be missed as she leaves us and moves into her new retired life adventures. We hope she has a good time enjoying herself and is able to do all the things she wants to do on her bucket list. Best wishes Linda!
