Student Lead Conferences Announced for 3rd Term

The faculty and staff of Landmark High School would like to invite all parents or guardians of students at Landmark High School in Spanish Fork to come and see the great work that their students have been doing.  Student Lead Conferences will held on Thursday February 26, 2015 at Landmark High School, located at 612 South Main in Spanish Fork, from 3:00 to 7:30 pm.

This is a great opportunity for students to show off their work, projects in class, and other activities that the students have done over the past semester and the first have of term 3.

Latinos in Action Sort Food at Local Food Bank

The Latinos In Action (LIA) student from Landmark High School in Spanish Fork had the opportunity to do some community service.  The goal of LIA is based on helping others as much as possible, and doing community service.  On Wednesday October 15th, the LIA students went on a fieldtrip to the Community Action Service and Food Bank in Provo.  In an effort to provide service to our community, we were assigned several different projects to do.

Be My Boo? Latinos In Action Provide Service to the Community

The Latinos In Action (LIA) students of Landmark High School in Spanish Fork are at it, once again! On the 6th of October the LIA students started a fundraiser called “Be My Boo?”  To earn money so that they could make blankets for the homeless members of our community.

Landmark High School Honors Veterans, and Retires American Flag

In an effort to enhance the Veterans Day experience, and honor all Veterans, and those that work at Landmark High School, the students and administration held their annual flag retirement ceremony, to retire the flag that has flown over Landmark High School, for the past year.

Broadview University Visits Landmark High School

The students of Landmark High School, in Spanish Fork, were visited by  Mark Harrison from Broadview University and he did a presentation on college and how you will make more money going to college. Mark  also taught the students that there are colleges for different people. For example some colleges offer more hands on learning than the usual lesson or  classroom learning. For many students the ability to work with you hands, or have that hands on learning experience can make a big difference in what and how they learn. .

Steven-Henager College Presents to Landmark Students

The Student of Landmark High School, in Spanish Fork had the opportunity to have Jorge Aguero from Stevens-Henager College come and present information to Financial Literacy Classes about scholarships and college.  Jorge taught the students that there is over 30 million dollars of scholarship money that does unclaimed every year.  This means that there is a great opportunity for students to get a scholarship.  Jorge also taught the students that there are a wide variety of scholarships available to students, such as being left handed, being Latino, being creative with duct tape, these

Landmark High School Host Parent Night for Mental Health

Landmark High School in Spanish Fork, will be hosting a parent night to help promote and give information about mental health.  The program will feature a representative from the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI).  The night will provide information and an opportunity for parents to find out more information, and ask questions about Mental Illness.  The program will be held in the cafetorim of Landmark High School located at 612 South Main Spanish Fork on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at 7:00 pm.

Utah College Application Week

Nebo High Schools and the Utah System of Higher Education is coordinating an expansion of Utah College Application Week on November 10 - 21, which gives every high school senior in participating schools the opportunity to apply to college during the school day. Paralegal Visits Landmark High School

Chris Cope a paralegal visited Landmark High School, in Spanish Fork on September 19, 2014, Mrs. Cope taught the students  about the judicial system with Mrs. Chelsie Young , a  US History teacher at LHS helped us learn some very important vocabulary, and helped the students learn about the judicial system.
