The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Mrs. Alesha LeMmon as the Assistant Principal of Landmark High for Nebo School District.

Mrs. LeMmon earned her bachelor’s degree in History Education and Business Education from Utah Valley University and her master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.

Mrs. LeMmon is currently the Assistant Principal of Spanish Fork Junior for the past three years. She was the Assistant Principal of Payson Junior for two years and served as the Dean of Students at Diamond Fork Junior High. She taught social studies, Leadership, business courses, and Student Government for over five years at Landmark High and Financial Literacy, accounting, and Computer Technology at Provo High for one year.

Mrs. LeMmon received the Nebo School District PEAK (Positive Energy And Kindness) Award in 2016 and the Teacher of the Year for Landmark High in 2012.

Alesha’s motto is, “Leap fearlessly.” A favorite quote by Henry David Thoreau partners well with her motto: “We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal, and then leap in the dark to our success.”

A colleague said “Alesha is the power behind our community relations commitment. She takes it upon herself to keep our website updated and social media alive. The school’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts are revitalized. She sends out weekly emails to parents. Alesha is an exemplary role model, a woman of character and integrity, and a devoted wife and mother. Alesha is one of the most skilled, energetic, organized, and dedicated professionals!”

“All those with whom I have worked in education have practiced courage, determination, and strength. I consider them my friends and my exemplars. But I would not be here today without the support of my family, especially my husband of 33 years. I look forward to this new opportunity with great enthusiasm,” said Mrs. LeMmon.

Alesha enjoys the arts, traveling, hiking, running, snowshoeing, and gardening. She is married to Steve; they have two children and two grandchildren with another grandbaby on the way.
