Landmark High School in Spanish Fork, on Friday September 10, took a “Pledge” to night drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.   A relative of a teacher of Landmark High School was involved in an accident, caused by a driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

In an effort to show support to the teacher and to the family of the person in the accident the student of LHS have been running a pledge complain to get student to pledge that they will not drive impaired.  The student council is planning to have the students, dressed in their school colors form the letters of “I PLEDGE,” on the playing field of the school.  The idea is to take a picture of the letters formed by the students, and send the picture to the family.  The school is accepting donations to help pay for the medical costs that have been occurred by the accident. The students after forming the letters of I Pledge, then raised their right had and took the pledge to not drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  They also pledge to not drive distracted by texting, or using their cell phones, while they are driving.
