The Utah Women & Leadership Project is hosting an online workshop for young women titled “More Than a Body: Building Body Image Resilience.” The workshop will be held on Thursday, February 25 from 6:00pm-7:15pm.

The content in this workshop is critical for girls/young women and anyone who influences them (students, counselors, teachers, administrators, parents, etc.). Body image struggles impact nearly all girls/women in today’s world! Our beauty-obsessed world perpetuates the idea that happiness, health, and the ability to be loved are dependent on how we look, but Lindsay and Lexie Kite—PhDs, founders of the nonprofit Beauty Redefined, and authors of the new book More Than a Body— offer an alternative vision. Lindsay and Lexie share powerful and practical advice that goes beyond “body positivity” to help develop body image resilience. In the process, they show how facing your feelings of body shame or embarrassment can become a catalyst for personal growth.

The registration link for the workshop can be found here. I would appreciate it if you could share this information with students, teachers, employees, and parents, as this is a large issue facing women of all ages. We will not be able to record this workshop for people to watch after, so each person will need to register online. If our Zoom fills up, then we’ll create a live stream YouTube so as many can join as possible.

Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you in advance for your help.
