Pigeons, Turtles, Sharks, Rats, and Frogs were in the dissection trays this week as students prepared their final specimens. Which one would you be most interested in presenting for a final grade? Cope and Emily's classes get to answer this question and present their findings to the class. Don't forget, Thursday is the last day of the mini-term!
Lawyer Sean Larson came to Landmark last week. He spoke to Chelsey and SueAnn's History classes about his experiences as a public defender in San Francisco and L.A. He connected his work experiences to the 6th and 4th amendments to the US Constitution that students are learning about in their coursework.
Bonzo fired up the kiln as the students put the finishing touches on their ceramics projects. The term ends next week and students are getting their work completed with the glazing and firing steps. Keep an eye out for a look at the finished projects on a future post.
Students in Chelsie's class got to repurpose some New Year's charcuterie into sandwiches. Martin, Rafael, Edgar, Andrew, and Jamion perfected their sandwich artistry in delicious fashion. Quite a tasty way to start the new year back in school.
