Ernesto and Jesus got the opportunity to present their research project for Ben's English class twice. First, they presented to a panel at Landmark High School comprised of administrators Alesha LeMmon, Kelly Taylor, Lynn Mecham, District Representative Troy Peterson, and Nebo School Board member Lisa Rowley. Then they were invited to present again to members of the District Inclusion Committee. We appreciate these students representing Landmark and this important research topic with the District. Well done Ernesto, Alex, and Jesus!
Parent-Teacher Conferences are tonight from 3:30 to 7 pm. Teachers will be here if you would like to visit with them in person. They will also be reaching out directly to their 3rd-period student's parents. It's a GREAT day to be a dragon!
Trench warfare during WWI was brutal. Chelsie and Chelsey kicked the teaching up a notch this year when they added rats and bugs to the misery. Students got time to draw up their plans, create some ammunition, and engage in the conflict. Ready, aim, cue the bugs, and hurl the rats!
It’s time to get your flower orders placed! Stop by the table near the lunch room and fill out a slip indicating what type of wearable flower you’d like for prom. Will it be a corsage or a boutonnière? Mama G and the greenhouse students need to know how many flower to order, arrange, and distribute ahead of Prom. Request your flowers ASAP!
**There is no cost to the student to order a corsage or boutonnière! Yet another great Landmark perk!**
It was Pie time for some Baking and Pastry making this week. Students got to learn the finer points of pie and tart crust as they rolled, shaped, and wove their delicious creations. Berry pies and lemon tarts, delighted our eyes and filled our hearts
Jennie Taylor is an awesomely cool math teacher here at Landmark. She wears a leather jacket and rides a motorcycle to school. Her classes are always fun to be in. Math with Jennie is a blast because she teaches the subject the way people understand. She helps you have a good time learning. She is willing to help you no matter what!
